ArthurHi, my name is Arthur. I'm a tutor who has a degree from the College of Lake County in general liberal arts. My instructional method involves creating a structured learning environment that keeps my students engaged in their own learning process. I can offer you customized lesson plans in subjects like English as a second language, history, music, and study skills, amongst other things. When I'm not working, I love playing the drums, painting, and traveling to experience new cultures and ideas. If you would like some help with one of the subjects I specialize in, then consider reaching out to me. I'd love to work with you as you strive to unlock more of your academic potential.

AmandaI have been working with children ever since earning my bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Northeastern Illinois University, and the experience has taught me two things. First, flexibility is the key to any instructor's success. Second, you should never give up if a given session fails to produce the results you wanted or expected. Nine distinct learning styles exist, and you need to be able to adapt your approach to any of them. I am most comfortable with elementary-aged students and can help them with math, reading, science, and writing. I'm also comfortable working with older students on subjects such as Pre-Algebra, Science, English Grammar and Syntax, and Middle School Math. Finally, I can work on ESL skills and test prep for the primary ISEE exam.
