LexiI graduated from Elon University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in clinical psychology from the Teachers College at Columbia University. My philosophy as a tutor involves helping students gain confidence and helping them learn how to problem solve. I understand that every student learns differently. As such, I make a concerted effort to adjust my teaching style to fit what will work best for each student. I am able to tutor students in an array of classes, including Spanish, neuroscience, and anthropology, to name a few. Outside of tutoring, I like playing with animals, hanging out with my friends, painting, and singing.

BettyMy name is Betty, and I'm currently attending Brooklyn College with a double major in Classical Studies and Chemistry. I also have a minor in Biology because the first two weren't enough! I enjoy teaching because I understand just how hard learning can be. When I help somebody grasp a concept they were having a hard time with, there is no better feeling in the world! I'm comfortable working with a variety of academic subjects, including Social Studies, American History, Elementary School Science, College English, and Pre-Algebra. I can also help students prepare for standardized exams such as the SAT, ACT, GED, and CLEP. When I'm not studying, I enjoy sports such as volleyball and Cross Country because they're a great way to relieve stress.
