MitchellI'm studying at Marquette University, at the College of Engineering, where I'm working on my bachelor's in Computer Engineering, and hopefully a minor in Computer Software. When I was in high school in California, I tutored students in both middle and high school. I taught some students one-on-one, and some through the National Honors Society. I tutored in a number of math subjects, including elementary math, pre-calculus, AP math subjects, and basically any math topic. I have also tutored students in preparing for standardized tests such as the SAT. I've worked with different ages of students, including fourth and fifth graders. I also volunteered through a neighborhood program where I helped start writing programs in underserved elementary schools. I spent more than 400 hours over the course of four years just in that program. Obviously, my passion is in tutoring math. I truly believe that students need to have a strong basis in math, and be able to do mental math quickly, in order to move ahead into more advanced topics. When I tutor students, we will spend time getting to know each other, so I can see what they really need help with.

LeslieI earned my bachelor's degrees in Spanish and French from UW - Milwaukee. My teaching experience includes French and Spanish college level courses, and I love this work. I understand that learning new languages is hard, but if students are motivated to be successful, they will be. As a tutor, I focus on this by creating lesson plans that are interesting, fun, and engaging. I understand that students have different learning styles, so I adjust my approach to match my student's needs. I also set goals with my student, and I'm constantly assessing their progress to ensure what we're doing is working. When I have free time, I like to explore the city of Milwaukee, watch sports like rugby, football, and soccer, spend time with friends, try new foods, read literature, sled, travel, cook, and play with my dogs.

DanielI earned two associate degrees from Milwaukee Area Technical College. My computer science degrees have an emphasis on networking and programming. I started tutoring others around the school during my second year and even began working at MATC as a tutor. I work as an educational assistant in the Academic Support Center Computer Lab at the moment. There, I assist students in using the computers and working the software. I teach others to use Microsoft Office from basic to more advanced forms of operation. I am capable of tutoring students in computer science and technology. I am skilled in Visual Basic, Java, C/C++, C#, and other scripting languages. I can teach others to use all the most common operating systems that are available, including Mac OSX, Linux, and all Windows versions. Out of the broad range of subjects I tutor, my favorites are Microsoft Office and SQL. I can tutor elementary to college levels of computer science. When I tutor a student, my goal is to provide them with the skills they need to succeed in any course. I accomplish this by reinforcing important skills and concepts. Outside of tutoring, I am deeply passionate about music, from listening to writing to performing it.
