I have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Susquehanna University and I am currently working on completing a Master's Degree in Information Technology. I have over four years of experience in training and teaching both children and adults. My teaching style tends to be quite flexible because I have experience teaching an array of subjects, including computer science, public speaking, English, math, and biology. In terms of my tutoring style, I prefer working with students on a one-on-one basis because it allows me to give all of my attention to one student while also allowing me to get a better sense of how they are growing as a student. As I have experience teaching in a variety of subject areas, I also enjoy pulling information from multiple areas and helping students make connections between them. I also enjoy bringing in the practical side of learning because I feel like students learn better if they are able to take what they are learning and apply it to something tangible in their lives. Finally, I also understand that every student tends to learn differently, so it is up to me to modify the way I teach to fit with whatever will work best for each particular student.Education

I'm a teacher who has worked in charter schools, private schools, and public schools. I'm certified as an elementary school teacher and as a preschool teacher. I love teaching language arts and reading because these are formative topics that help students become better overall learners. If I can help students be successful in these subjects, they have a better chance of being successful throughout their academic careers. I've tutored students in one-on-one scenarios and in groups. Despite my certifications and my experience working with younger children, I've also helped other students fill gaps in their understanding and find success in coursework. When I work with students, I encourage them and I exhibit patience. Students understand that I'm invested in their success. I enjoy the challenge of finding ways to present material in a fun and engaging manner, which I believe helps students become more confident in their abilities and motivates them to learn more. In my free time, I enjoy the arts, scrapbooking, doing crafts, and spending time with my son. I also enjoy pets.Education

Every student learns in their own unique way. My job as a tutor is to find the methods that work best for you. I excel at identifying learning styles and then customizing my approach to fit the needs of my students. I believe in you, I want you to believe in yourself so that you can be successful. I've had the opportunity to work with over 2000 students in my many years as a teacher and tutor. I worked with students of all ages and levels of ability from all over the world, and I've taught in the public schools for 15 years. I've covered a wide array of subjects as a teacher, and I've had the opportunity to develop my own curriculum, learning materials, and relevant activities to help students learn and stay engaged. I love to connect with people, and my specialties are language learning and cultures. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, and I'm also proficient in Portuguese, Italian, and French. I'm looking forward to helping you achieve your full academic potential.Education
