TaylorFor the past six years I've helped students of various levels learn and improve their skills. This ranges from children in elementary school to graduate students. English is my passion, and I want my students to gain a strong understanding. This leaves them ready for anything that comes their way, from academics to the professional world. I want everyone to develop a strong sense or writing, no matter what their life plans are. For this reason, I focus on working with the student to help them improve their papers, rather than making suggested edits for them. I earned my bachelor's from Wittenberg University, where I studied English. I am currently earning my MFA at Chatham University. Among the subjects I help in are ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Phonics, Literature, English Grammar, College Essays, Languages, English, Poetry Writing, high school and college level English, and Comparative Literature. I also provide help with the IB Extended Essay. Outside of academic pursuits, I love to play and listen to music, watch different movies, and play chess. I enjoy traveling and have visited Costa Rica, Italy, Canada, France, and Ireland, to name a few. I also love learning about other subjects, such as religion and space exploration.

ReneI believe that the best way to understand something is to take an inquisitive approach, where you think and rethink about challenges while brainstorming solutions. I grew up in El Salvador and attended college in the United States at Carnegie Mellon University, where I received a degree in environmental policy and architecture. I am someone who enjoys learning and experiencing new things, which is a skill that I want to share with my students. A large portion of my work experience has been in Philadelphia, where I helped ensure that economically disadvantaged residents had access to affordable housing. I'm currently living in Miami and teaching Spanish to people of all levels, as well as math and social studies. My goal is to use my own passion and experiences to inspire a new generation of lifelong learners. I am eager to work with students in a one-on-one capacity so that they get the hands-on assistance they need to succeed. I believe that everyone has the ability to do great things in the classroom when they're able to work with someone who's able to motivate them to work harder and set bigger goals. When I'm not teaching, I like to go on hikes and listen to music.

RebeccaTo be a teacher has been a long time goal and passion of mine. I have always found it to be not only fulfilling but incredibly enjoyable as well. I am a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science and Mechanics. I then later attended the University of Pittsburgh, where I received my MS and Ph.D. in Bioengineering. Since that time, I have been able to follow my own research in functional neuroimaging and along the way, I have had the opportunity to guide and train my own students. I have taught students in the traditional classroom setting as well as through one-on-one sessions. I have been fortunate to teach Introduction to Biomedical Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, and Biomedical Imaging. I currently offer tutoring in algebra, mechanical engineering, statistics, geometry, and more. I have experience working with students from multiple backgrounds and various different ages from early elementary to graduate level students. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two boys, reading, cooking, and swimming. I love to travel to new places and I strive to continue my own education and personal development whenever I can.
