RoxanaI have developed a teaching philosophy over the last ten years that is based on active learning where the student becomes an analytical and critical thinker. They also become able to independently solve problems that involve the material. I believe that compassion, understanding, care for the student's needs, and patience are the essential ingredients needed to succeed in the learning process. I have found that when a positive relationship is established with the student and when an environment is created that is conducive to learning that a student has a much greater chance of achieving their goals. I have experience instructing multiple business classes at community colleges and universities. Through my experience, I have found that a nurturing style results in the most positive outcomes. I will work with the student at their own pace so that they are receptive and comfortable with me. It is my goal to make sure my students are equipped with the tools and skills that they need to navigate the course they are taking and arrive at the end with the grade they desire. I am available to tutor a variety of different classes such as economics, business management, essay editing, and marketing.

JayI went to Ohio State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in microbiology. I realized I love teaching as a middle school student, when I served in the community theater as a teacher's aide. I continued doing this throughout high school, but I also started tutoring students in algebra and geometry. As a college student, I was able to volunteer for the local literacy council and worked with adults to help them develop English skills in reading and writing. I also worked as an undergraduate research assistant, and I had the opportunity to train others in that role. After I graduated, I was a library tutor for a homework help center. I was able to work with many different K - 12 students at all levels of ability in a wide array of subjects, and I learned how to teach to each individual's learning style. I currently work for Case Western Reserve University as an image analyst. My favorite subjects to tutor are math and science topics. I like these subjects because they are visible everywhere in the real world and they are kind of like logical games. I encourage open communication with my students so that we can see our progress. When I have free time, I like to cook, play role-playing games with my friends, and hang out with my fiance.

ChloeI'm studying middle level education at the University of Akron. My tutoring style involves helping students work through the steps to solve a problem instead of giving the answer away. I believe this help students build a better overall understanding of the concept and develop the skills they need to solve problems on their own. Overall, my goal is for you to build a comprehensive understanding of the subject and confidence in your abilities so that you can experience further success as you move along in your academic career.
