RuthI absolutely love learning, and figuring out how things work the way they do. I like when the math problems, like puzzles, fit all together and make sense. I earned my bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania, and then my PhD in economics from the University of Chicago. In addition to learning, I have always loved teaching. In fact, my life of tutoring began when I was in the fourth grade, when I helped my peers with math. It really clicked with me, and I was excited to find different ways to help lead others to the same discoveries. I tutor in classes like business, economics, and writing, among others.

LiaRight now, I am in my senior year at Stanford University. I am working on my bachelor's degree in earth systems science, with a focus in oceans and climate. I love to look at the clouds, as well as sail on my sailboat. I live on my sailboat during the summer months. I started my experience as a tutor when I was a high school student. I would help my friends study for their courses, and realized that many more students were seeking assistance with ACT and SAT prep. From here, I grew my work as a tutor and gained enjoyment from helping others in areas of study that required more attention. I love watching areas of study click in a student's head.
