RachelCertified to teach grade 4 to 8 social studies, I can help students pursue their learning goals there and in elementary school math, reading, science, and other subjects, including geometry, psychology, and developing study skills. I also work with middle school and high school students, especially in areas like world history and preparing their college application essays. When I teach, I focus on creating connections between the subject matter, themes, and the student's personal experiences. I also incorporate current events to make the course content relevant, which tends to make social studies topics more accessible to the student. A dedicated teacher, I also enjoy cooking, jewelry making, and rock climbing.

I am comfortable tutoring students in several English related subject areas, including middle school reading comprehension, high school writing, and English grammar and syntax. I am also available to help students prepare for standardized tests, such as the ACT, SAT, and GRE. In my free time, I enjoy camping, hiking, running, reading, and writing.
