TahjamareI believe in teamwork when it comes to teaching. My students and I work together to reach their goals. I have a broad range of skills that help me meet the needs of each individual student. I have experience working with students of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities and learning barriers. Right now I am earning my bachelor's degree in global studies with a minor in medicine, culture and chemistry, and literature. I am excited to help students in the Waxhaw area in subjects such as English, math, languages, and more. I enjoy reading, writing, watching movies, and dancing in my free time. I also enjoy doing volunteer work.

StephanieI tutor students in English and math. I teach English because I love reading, and I am a grammar stickler. I have a large vocabulary due to my reading habit, and I am always thinking of new ways to express ideas on papers and essays. I teach math because I enjoy the topic and I'm good at it. A lot of people do not like math because they do not believe they have the skills to understand and apply it. Some others do not like it even though they are good at it already. When I help students with math, I take it is responsibility to help students understand that they can be good of math and have fun with it. I love to learn, and tutoring is great because I get to teach people I know, improve my understanding of these topics along the way, and learn from the people that I tutor. It is rewarding to see students make progress and even surpass me.

OlabisiI earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education at Charleston Southern University College. I then went on to Lesley University, where I earned my graduate integrating arts into curriculum and instruction degree. I'm also certified to teach reading and education in the state of North Carolina. I love to teach, and I understand that the classroom can often get in the way of optimal learning for some students. Tutoring offers me the opportunity to focus on one student. When I work with students in a one-on-one environment, I can be attentive to their individual needs, strengths, and areas of opportunity. I like to figure out what students know up front, and then I put together resources and lesson plans to help fill the gaps. I'm compassionate for my students, and I want them to succeed in school and in life. I can assist students in reading, literature, elementary school math, elementary school science, grammar, ESL, writing, and related subjects. In my spare time, I enjoy doing crafts, cooking, reading, practicing a healthy lifestyle, keeping up with current affairs, watching movies, and reading.
