WilliamI'm Will, and I've been tutoring since I was a high school student. I'm currently attending the University of New Mexico, where I study business. I offer student focused sessions that are customized to the student's needs with the goal of helping them understand subjects better and achieving success. I can tutor math from beginner levels through trigonometry, English subjects like reading and writing, history, and test preparation for exams like the SAT, PSAT, ACT, PLAN, and others. When I have some spare time, I like to read, watch movies, and backpacking through the state.

JuliaI love physics, and I think it is a topic that I can help others appreciate as well. I guide students with questions to help the logic of physics make sense in their own minds. I went to Mary Baldwin College for my bachelor's degree in physics and then moved on to the University of Virginia for my master's degree in physics. I have more than 20 years of experience as a high school physics teacher. I have taught everything from conceptual physics to calculus-based physics. Based on this, I'm pretty familiar with the points where students face obstacles in these courses, and I can guide them to work through those barriers. I enjoy tutoring college level introductory physics and high school level physics. I enjoy helping students work on their problem-solving capabilities, and I explain how physics problems can be approached. Often students understand physics theoretically in the classroom but have a hard time applying that knowledge to solve problems. I work to help students make those connections and I guide them through solving problems. This helps students come to enjoy physics and feel more confident. Outside of physics and teaching, I enjoy knitting, reading, and going for walks with my dog.

ElizabethI graduated from New Mexico State University with my bachelor's in Spanish and English with a math minor. I am still attending the institution, working towards my English literature master's degree. I taught elementary students as a student teacher, camp counselor, religious education teacher, and swim instructor. I have a variety of experience in tutoring students in math, Spanish, creative writing, and English. I worked as a summer tutor for a school program, as well as instructed up to college-level subjects. As a tutor, I believe it is important to make each session creative and engaging for optimal learning. I can work with students to improve their creative writing skills, providing valuable feedback and constructive criticism. I often incorporate music and games into my lessons to make learning more fun. I can help a student edit their college essays, prepare for an upcoming AP calculus test, and improve their grasp of conversational Spanish. I work with each student independently to provide customized education. I factor in their strengths and weaknesses, as well as skill levels and learning personality, to adjust my teaching methods to suit their needs. When I'm not tutoring, I am a volunteer at NMSU Catholic Campus Ministry's Newman Center.
