RonI am a big believer in learning throughout one's life. As a result, I have taken college courses for almost 20 years. I have both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Akron. I have experience tutoring students in middle school all the way through the postgraduate level. I love teaching and I enjoy being able to help students when the topic they are struggling with happens to coincide with topics that I'm an expert in. The majority of my tutoring experience is in the areas of math and science. I can tutor students in college algebra, trigonometry, algebra, linear algebra, differential equations, geometry, physics, precalculus, and calculus. My philosophy as a tutor involves having students actually perform what we talk about in class. This often involves having them teach me a topic because this shows that they really understand it. I also understand that even just being around the younger generation provides a teaching opportunity for me and a learning opportunity for them. I like to exercise the skill of teaching as much as possible because it allows me to share what I have learned throughout my life. Outside of school, I enjoy pro wrestling, Cleveland sports, and reading.

MaryI worked in education for over 21 years, helping students from 3rd to 8th grade. I can tutor students in history, English, ecology, elementary math, geography, essay writing, public speaking, study skills, world religions, writing, and standardized test preparation. My favorite subjects to tutor are fourth through sixth grade math and fourth through eighth grade language arts. I believe we are all learning all the time. I think learning is great fun, and I want to help students think learning is fun too. As a tutor, I want to help students realize their full academic potential.

DevinI'm a tutor who is based out of Cleveland, Ohio, where I enjoy acting, playing guitar, and writing when I'm not in the classroom working with students. I have my bachelor's degree in Spanish from Kent State University. I primarily work with students on their Spanish language reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. I believe that learning a new language is like trying to solve a puzzle. At first, you only have a few pieces (some basic words), but then you add more and more complex ideas together as you go. Eventually, you get something starting to resemble a complete picture (language fluency). I have a deep passion for exploring different cultures and philosophies, but I didn't always have a passion for learning. I wasn't an engaged student in high school and the summer following high school I decided to fly to Australia and pursue my dream of traveling. While working in construction there with other young adults from around the world, many of whom spoke a second or third language, I became overwhelmed by the just how for granted I had taken my education. That's when I made a vow to fully pursue learning, and today I consider myself to be extremely passionate about learning. After coming home I decided to enroll in college, where I pursued my newfound interest in Spanish. I worked on my language skills in a variety of settings, and now I'm ready to pass my love for the language on to the next generation of students.
