TianzengI earned my bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Changchun University of Science and Technology, and then earned my Master of Science in the same subjects from George Washington University. I have been teaching and tutoring for more than seven years. I'm able to tutor students in Mandarin Chinese at all levels, and in a number of math and computer science courses. I'm also available to help students prepare for standardized tests like the ACT, SAT, and TOEFL, among others. When I tutor, I first find a way to get my students to have a passion for learning, which gives them the motivation they need to implement the strategies I teach them.

LilyHi, my name is Lily. I'm a tutor who has a bachelor's degree in East Asian studies from the University of Maryland. As a tutor, I can help my students with things like English, Japanese, and computer science, amongst other things. I'm especially passionate about teaching others Japanese. I love creating personalized study plans for the students I meet with. I've found that this customization in the learning process often helps students grow in a way that traditional classroom learning just can't replicate. Consider reaching out to me if you'd like some help with one of the subjects that I specialize in. I'd love to use my experience as an educator to help you grow.

KevinI began my tutoring career by helping my high school classmates with Chemistry in 2010. The subject was considered very difficult in my school, but I found success by explaining things differently than the teachers did, relating abstract concepts to real word scenarios, and helping students solve practice problems. I really liked making a difference in somebody else's education, and have tutored in some capacity every year since. College presented me with the opportunity to serve as a TA in organic chem lab and undergraduate bio lab, giving me an opportunity to learn new teaching techniques that I can apply while tutoring. I center my tutoring around the sciences because that's where my passion lies, but I can also help students prepare for the PSAT, SAT, SAT subject tests, and math. My other interests include taking care of my pets, gardening, playing the piano, and studying foreign languages. I sincerely hope you find working with me both fun and rewarding!
