JordinI previously worked at the University of Florida, teaching students the French language, as well as its culture. As a tutor, my goal is to provide a learning environment that is motivational, stimulating, and comfortable. I value the unique way in which each student learns and adjust my teaching methods to suit their needs. I choose learning activities and teaching styles based on the student's individual personality, interests, strengths, and weaknesses. I incorporate lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities to encourage optimal absorption of the material. Regardless of the approach or activity, I work patiently with the student, matching their natural learning rate to enable them to better understand the concepts we are studying. I use a flexible teaching style that encompasses a variety of approaches to learning with the sole aim of helping my students achieve their goals. Through a collaborative effort, the student and I work together to improve their learning skills and better their grasp of the French language. While tutoring, I implement discussions of current events around the world to encourage my student to think beyond the classroom. In my free time, I love to travel, broadening my horizons around the world while meeting new people.

AnastasiaI've been a tutor for over five years, where I helped students gain a better understanding of various subjects. I know what it's like to struggle, and I want my students to feel empowered and ready to do anything. In today's educational environment, tests are a part of life, so I work with students who have nerves related to testing, and help them conquer their fears. I spoke French ever since I was a child, and am confident my students will walk away with a better understanding of the language, too. Among the subjects I'm skilled in are Algebra 1, Math, French, Calculus 1-2, Equations, Social Studies, Geometry, Elementary and Middle School Math, Pre-Calculus, Technology and Computer Science, Multivariable Calculus, Trigonometry, Algebra 2 and Science. For test subjects, I'm here to help in all aspects of the GMAT, including verbal and reasoning. I work with SAT students who need assistance related to writing, subject test in French, and other test subjects. I also help ACT students as they need with Reading and Math. When not working with students, I love to read, do creative writing, and dabble in computer programming. I get outdoors often and love to geocache and go running.

AllieI attended BYU for my sociology bachelor's degree, graduating magna cum laude. Throughout my experiences as a student, the one thing that always comes back to mind is that the value of a good education is immeasurable. I believe that every student can become successful, regardless of any learning differences or obstacles they may face in understanding the topic. If students are willing to put in the hard work and the drive to succeed, I will be there to match their effort and motivation. Besides tutoring, I work with adults and youth in a high school equivalency program.
