MichelleI'm currently working as a high school teacher, specifically in AP chemistry. I earned my Bachelor of Science in the nutrition sciences from the Austin campus of the University of Texas, and then earned my certificate in general business from the same institution. I place a great value on education, and though I'm a classroom teacher, I especially enjoy working in one-on-one settings with students, as it allows me to focus more on their specific needs. I can use techniques and strategies that speak to their most effective learning styles, and focus specifically on their goals. I'm available to tutor a number of math and science courses, as well as standardized test prep.

MichaelMy academic passion has always fallen within the math and science fields, and I earned my Associate in Science degree in computer science from the Alamo Community College's District Central Office. When I tutor students in math, I help guide them through thinking out the "why" of how problems work, and teaching them to ask themselves the right questions to figure this out in the future, as well. Math is generally taught as a memorization skill, but I find my students learn and retain information better when they understand what the symbols and actions actually mean. I show them how math connects to the physical world, giving them a context for their learning that also improves understanding and retention.

AaronMy name is Aaron and I'm a tutor based out of Lake Jackson. I have over 18 years of experience in education, which includes time spent working as a tutor and teacher. I've worked with students online and in the traditional in-person environment. I have a bachelor's degree in English, master's degree in education, and Ph.D. in English. Given my background, I'm able to help students in a variety of subject areas. For example, I've worked with students in the past on topics like middle school math, college-level English, and standardized test preparation at the high school and college levels. I love the feeling I get when one of my students finally has a breakthrough in a topic they've been struggling with. I'd love to help you with your education if you think I can.
