RussMy name is Russ, and I'm proud to say that I'm a recent graduate from New York University with a bachelor's in Computer Science and Economics. I'm really passionate about math and eager to share that passion with others, especially if they're struggling with the subject. In fact, I recently worked with a high school student on the math portion of the SAT and helped him increase his performance significantly. My approach begins with understanding why a student is struggling and then taking steps to fix it. If the problem is study-related, I can generally fix it during our sessions. If it deals with stress or anxiety, I have no problem talking with the student's parents to figure out how to address it. My hobbies includes sudoku, checkers, and other games. I also enjoy soccer and playing the piano. Music can really be conducive to a student's thinking ability, so I advise all of my students who play an instrument to embrace it.

AndrewHi! My name is Andrew and I'm a tutor based in Westchester, New York, interested in helping students however I can. My strongest academic subject is math, so I concentrate on helping students with math, Algebra, and Middle School Mathematics. Outside of the classroom, my passions include anime, manga, baseball, cooking, and baking. I find baseball to be a particularly useful segue into mathematics because of the role statistics play in the sport. If you or your child is a baseball fan, this might be a great way to approach math instruction! If you think that I might be the right tutor for you, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

AlanaI have a bachelor's degree in molecular biology with a minor in Spanish literature from Haverford College. My tutoring experience began while I was in college after being accepted into a mentoring program for underserved children in the community. I tutored students in English and science for three years during the program, and I also helped my peers study and prepare for Spanish and biology. I also have experience taking a variety of standardized tests, so I feel equipped to help students prepare for any standardized testing that they need to complete. My goal is to help students work toward their personal academic goals. In my down time, I enjoy running, cooking, playing piano, and traveling.
