SarahI have a bachelor's degree in English from Skidmore College and a Ph.D. in philosophy and English from New York University. My experience includes working with students in writing, literature, and reading in many higher education settings for ten years. I have worked with students at the undergraduate and graduate level, as well as high schoolers, adult learners, and professionals. I can help students with standardized test prep, study skills, English, grammar, essay editing, analytical writing, and more. I have also taught the history of criticism, literary interpretation, and business writing. Outside of the classroom, I like creative writing, art, traveling, writing and reading poetry, cooking, and playing pool.

GretchenAssisting students with written and spoken communication skills is something that I love to do because I believe that personal interaction is one major key to success. I earned a bachelor's degree in German from Dartmouth College and a master's degree in library and information science from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. I enjoy tutoring subjects such as English, grammar, German, business writing, public speaking, reading, and others. I take a casual approach to teaching with a lot of humor mixed in. I have experience working with students of all ages from ten years old to seventy. When I have spare time, I like doing voice overs, reading, cats, and exercising.
