PatriciaI have a master's degree in Special Education from Azusa Pacific University, a qualification that some people believe means that I can't or shouldn't work with students struggling in a "regular" classroom. The truth is that Special Education teachers never know a student's educational level beforehand, so we need to be prepared to teach any level of regular coursework. My own work experience has seen me teach in both regular and special classrooms, and I found working with the students in each equally fulfilling. Regardless of level, I encourage all of my students to try as hard as they can. No educator will be disappointed by that, regardless of the results. However, if you fail to put forth even a modicum of effort, you will be missing out on a lot of what life has to offer. I enjoy both learning and teaching, and hope to share both with you soon!
