ShelbyI became a licensed educator over fifteen years ago, and I love watching my students grow mentally and academically and become confident readers and learners. I am passionate about helping people read and comprehend what they read. I have also been good at increasing the state scores of my students. I currently work as a turnaround teacher in my school district. I am a teacher in a priority, low-performing school. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in education and school leadership. When I am not tutoring or teaching, I enjoy swimming, kayaking, and reading. I am excited to get to know students and help them reach their goals.

MackenzieMy name is Mackenzie, and I consider learning to be a lifelong pursuit. I have a passion for the French language, whether I'm speaking it, learning about it, or teaching it. I attended Southern Oregon University to earn my graduate degree in teaching French, and I studied it for my bachelor's degree at Bowling Green State University as well. As a tutor, I want to help students better understand the French language and culture. In my free time, I enjoy drinking coffee and cats.

DarrickI have spent 32 years as a high school science teacher, concentrating on Chemistry but teaching Biology as well. I believe that all learning begins by making the process fun, as holding a student's interest is integral to their academic success. Once I have their attention, I demonstrate what the sciences are all about to let them experience how much fun it can be. I only introduce complicated vocabulary after they understand the concepts behind it, as otherwise it's just boring memorization. All students learn differently and at a different speed, so I'm willing to adapt my approach to their needs. I also try to foster a judgement-free learning environment that allows students to make the mistakes necessary to learn the material. I am truly passionate about both Chemistry and Biology, and I hope to share that passion with you soon!
