I graduated with my bachelor's in economics from the Texas Christian University and earned my master's in economics from George Washing University. As a graduate, I served as a teaching fellow, providing support to undergraduates as they learned economics. In addition, I graded exams and tutored undergraduate and graduate students. Ever since my experiences working with my peers, I continued to tutor and teach students as they worked to improve their academic performance. I have around three decades of experience tutoring subjects like microeconomics, high school American literature, statistics, and finance. I teach college economics to undergraduate students in Raleigh-Durham. My tutoring approach encompasses the student's needs as an individual, their learning style, weaknesses, and aptitude. I work with each student to determine the best academic path to support their educational development. I aim to help my students thoroughly learn the information for full mastery, rather than simply memorizing material for their next test. I am able to explain complex concepts in a simple, personalized way that applies to the student's interests. When I am not tutoring, I am a film addict. I love watching new movies, as well as reading literature and listening to music. I also love to go fishing.Education

I attended the University of North Carolina - Greensboro for my bachelor's degree in Spanish. I then went on to earn a MBA. I love the Spanish-language, and I've been studying and speaking for most of my life. I was able to study abroad in Madrid and Caceres in Spain, and I've tutored students at all levels and all ages in the language. My goal is to increase the proficiency of my students in Spanish, and I'm invested in helping my students reach their goals. When I have some free time, I enjoy traveling, playing games, attending church, helping others, listen to music, and computers.Education

I'm a tutor who is based in the Raleigh-Durham area, where I enjoy reading, making arts and crafts, and playing basketball when I'm not in the classroom working with students. I have my bachelor's degree in anthropology and linguistics from the University of Florida as well as a post-baccalaureate in communication sciences and disorders. I've also recently applied to graduate school to get my master's degree. I have a deep breadth of experience working as a tutor. For example, I volunteered with a program in Florida to help increase the English language skills of migrant workers' children. Currently, I'm volunteering at a charter school where I provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students who are struggling with their math and reading. I have the most experience working with students in grades one through three and then seven and eight with their math coursework. I always strive to instill a deep passion in my students for learning that allows them to proceed into the rest of their academic career with confidence and ability. I work collaboratively with my students, identifying their specific strengths and weaknesses before developing an individualized lesson plan to combat their weaknesses.Education
