TaylorI'm attending the University of Georgia for my undergraduate degree in French and international affairs. I'm looking forward to working with students as a tutor on my path towards becoming a French teacher at the high school level. I love to teach, and so far I have been able to tutor IB students in various IB level courses as well as helping them work on extended essays. I also like to tutor French, writing, and English. When I work with students, I like to customize each lesson based on the individual needs and goals of the student. I will have students go through practice questions alongside me, and then independently. This allows me to gauge their progress as well as helps them build self-sufficient problem-solving skills. I enjoy interacting with people, I'm looking forward to helping students learn new skills. In my free time, I like to get outside and enjoy activities like hiking and swimming. I also enjoy reading.

ShannonI entered Boston University without knowing what my major would be, but after volunteering to assist in the classroom of second graders, I realized how much I loved teaching. It's very gratifying to help students reach the moment where they light up because they understand a new concept. The pride students feel in their abilities rubs off on me. I understand what students are going through when they struggle to learn something, so I am empathetic for my students and am able to build rapport with them easily. I like to get to know my students so that I can understand their needs, and I set to work on filling gaps and helping them become confident in their abilities and math. I can tutor algebra, geometry, elementary and middle school math, pre-calculus, trigonometry, and pre-algebra. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, doing arts and crafts, and sports.

KeheiraI am attending North Carolina A&T State University for my undergraduate degree in computer engineering. I have four years of tutoring experience helping college and public school students with a variety of topics. My specialties are to tutor reading, math, and computer science and programming topics. I believe computer science and math are strong for me because I use those skills regularly and enjoy staying current with them. When I tutor students, I use a hands-on approach and relate concepts to the real world. I also try novel approaches to help students learn and retain information. For instance, I use musical rhythms to retain information in my studies. I believe anyone can learn any topic if we build a connection and identify how to teach it to you in a way that you learn best. In my free time, I enjoy music, reading, trying out restaurants, and video games.
