KatharineI earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from SUNY at Geneseo. While I was earning my degree, I worked as an English and test prep tutor. Throughout college, I discovered that being a tutor was a great way to help pay for my schooling and meet fellow peers along the way. After graduating, I worked in a start-up business as a manager. I have worked with numerous different kinds of restaurants and companies. While I was teaching, I also earned my certification to become a TESOL teacher. Right now I am a medical technician. I am available to tutor in ESL, English, test prep, science, reading, and many other subjects.

CynthiaI earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology, minoring in Political Science, from the Hunter College, part of the CUNY educational system. Following that, I began teaching in the New York City teaching Fellows Program, where I absolutely became passionate about teaching. My firm belief is that each student can learn what they need to with the aid of compassionate, committed, and accountable adults who can help them. This is why I choose to tutor. I tutor the gamut of courses, from English language arts to math, reading and writing to science and social studies. I've also helped students successfully prepare for standardized exams and other test prep, and I have taught ELL/ ESL and can tutor students learning the English language.

AkshaniI have my bachelor's degree in biology from Stony Brook University. During the course of my studies, I have learned how important and valuable it is to expand your horizons. I began studying biology, but now I am taking business courses. I like teaching students in science and math courses, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word and public speaking. I have been a science and math tutor for more than four years to students between twelve and seventeen. When I am not tutoring and teaching, I enjoy many hobbies. I volunteer at the local children's hospital, Indian classical dancing, and playing the cello. I am excited to share my knowledge with others.
