RebeccaThroughout my entire life, I've always been fascinated with human behavior. I love learning about why people make the decision that they do, and how we can use this information to help people overcome their different challenges in life. I've spent a lot of my time working in service positions, including volunteering for anti-drug programs in the community. I believe that the best way to help someone is to first connect with them on the individual level, so that you're able to learn more about what makes them tick. After having a better idea of a person's wants, needs, and what drives them to succeed, I then come up with a way to help them meet all of their goals. I attended the University of New Mexico and received a bachelor's degree in history. While I was a student, I also worked as a tutor and helped a number of my peers improve their understanding of various classroom materials. I believe that an effective teacher does more than just drills information - they also teach people practical knowledge that they can use to help them throughout their lives. For this reason, along with classroom content, I like to teach the importance of good study habits and critical thinking skills when I'm tutoring.

KaiI am a standardized test prep tutor and my favorite test to tutor for is the ACT. My tutoring style includes adapting my teaching methods to every individual student I work with. I take the time to get to know their strengths and weaknesses, then I create a custom learning plan that suits their individual needs. I am also great at helping pupils reduce their stress by organizing their studying and teaching them time management. I fully believe that if we work together, those test scores will go up drastically. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Grinnell College in Iowa. I spent a year in Spokane, Washington, where I worked with homeless individuals. Now I am back in Albuquerque and ready to help as many students here as I can. I don't only tutor, I also work for an after school program called Children's Choice and I am also hoping to begin earning my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology very soon. My experience tutoring will contribute greatly to my dream of becoming a therapist. When I am not tutoring, you will find me doing yoga, reading, and playing board games. Let's talk today and start working towards your goals tomorrow!

CrystalAt the moment, I am a graduate student enrolled at the University of New Mexico where I'm working as a teaching assistant. Along with helping college-level students with their coursework, I've also worked as a teacher in the middle and high school setting where I tutored underprivileged students in Mississippi and Tennessee. Additionally, I also worked in the adult education department at my local community college. I have an extensive background in education that has given me the opportunity to work with people of all ages, proficiency levels, and walks of life. I find that there's nothing better than helping someone gain the skills needed to reach their goals in the classroom as well as out in the world. For this reason, I love teaching reading and mathematics. Both of these subjects are things that I enjoy learning about, which is why I'm thrilled to share my passion with anyone who's interested in learning. In addition, I also teach a number of life skills courses that help students learn how to think critically, improve their reading and writing, master public speaking, and prepare for college entrance exams. I have a bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Tennessee - Martin, and when I'm not working in education, I like reading books and watching movies.
