YelenaI'm originally from Russia. I'm currently teaching for Lawrence Tech University, and I love helping others in any way that I can. I went to Northwestern University to earn my bachelor's degree in math and biology. I continued on at Northwestern to earn my master's degree. From there, I taught courses at Wayne State University while studying for my PhD in math. I can tutor students in calculus, differential equations, trigonometry, statistics, algebra, SAT prep, ACT prep, and related math subjects. I believe that math learning can be interesting and enjoyable. Math has so many applications that can be used in life, and it's important to have a good understanding of math to be able to take advantage of this. In my free time, I enjoy crafting and painting.

SoumithI'm a tutor who is based out of Detroit, Michigan, where I enjoy dancing and playing music when I'm not in the classroom working with students. I'm currently an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan, where I'm studying biopsychology, cognition, and neuroscience. As a tutor, I'm able to assist students in a variety of lessons. Some of the subjects I've tutored in the past have been math, geometry, social science, and standardized test preparation, amongst other things. My first experience as a tutor dates back to my time in high school, when I was asked to help a few neighborhood kids with their ACT prep. After helping those students improve their scores, I was hooked on becoming a tutor. There's nothing quite like the feeling I get when one of my students finally has a breakthrough in a subject they've been struggling with for awhile. I help facilitate these breakthroughs by providing individualized lesson plans that target my students' specific areas of weakness. I believe that every student can master any subject they dedicate themselves to. I see my role as a tutor being to guide my students where they need to go to unlock their full educational potential.

JonahI attended Pomona College for my bachelor's degree in media studies. As an undergraduate, I was able to study abroad in Madrid, Spain as well. I have a strong interest in cross disciplinary studies. My college studies focused on humanities, and I developed skills in writing and critical thinking. I also have a very logical side to me, and I'm skilled at science and math topics. I can tutor students in algebra, writing, literature, physics, Spanish, English grammar, history, study skills, reading, and others. I can also help students prepare for the ACT, PSAT, SAT, and other exams. I love to learn, and I enjoy sharing what I know with others. I know what it's like to have to study for an exam to get into that dream school, or fighting through problems to learn a topic. It can be difficult, but I can help you keep the big picture in mind, keep you motivated to work hard, and help you build confidence in your abilities. In my free time, I enjoy travel, art, music, and food.
