RachelTeachers have a massive impact on the lives of students, teaching them skills that they will use throughout their entire lives. I have a master's in Education and see it as my duty to serve as a role model for all of the students I interact with everyday. If I can help prepare a generation of critical thinkers with open minds and the self-confidence required to make positive contributions to society, I will have done my job successfully. I am comfortable working with a variety of subject matters, including Elementary School Science, Middle School English, Sociology, Study Skills, and Basic Computer Literacy. I can also help students prepare for standardized exams such as the ISEE, PCAT, ACCUPLACER, and GED. Furthermore, I am a certified Special Education instructor who can work with students with learning challenges successfully. Besides teaching, I enjoy music, traveling, volunteering, reading, and gardening.

Kateleen-AnneI'm Kateleen (pronounced "Kate-lynn"), and I'm currently attending Northern Virginia Community College for an associate's degree in computer science. I enjoy tutoring students from the third grade through high school in math. I've been tutoring for over a year, and I find it rewarding to help students develop a better understanding and appreciation for math. I can also help students prepare for the math section of standardized exams. In my free time, I enjoy movies, music, playing with my dog, and reading.

DoloresI'm Dolores and I hope to one day become a mathematician. I grew up in Rwanda, but moved to the United States when I was 10. Right now, I hold an associate's degree in science and mathematics from Northern Virginia Community College. I am interested in actuarial mathematics and statistical analogy using data science. I started tutoring professionally in high school. One of my favorite parts of tutoring is the opportunity to learn about other's learning methods. I can accommodate the needs of students through an understanding of their approach to learning. In addition to my experience as a teacher, I am also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
