RicardoI'm attending Ohio State University for my degree in chemistry. I'm a motivated and enthusiastic tutor with five years of experience helping students learn math and chemistry topics at the university level. I've also worked with high school and elementary school students and topics ranging from science to English to math. I love learning, and I love to teach. I know every student is different, so I work to find out the methods that work best for them. I also prioritize teaching students in various learning skills, because these are just as important if not more important than their understanding of any particular subject. I want to help students develop a foundational knowledge of the topic first so that we can build from there. I also like to guide students through problems and have them work on their own to find the answer so they develop their own problem-solving skills. I want my students to be as enthusiastic about learning as I am. In my free time, I have plenty of hobbies but I'm always learning more about. These include fitness, going to the theater, listening to music, reading, soccer, and superhero movies.

JohnI worked as an editor throughout my career, but I'm looking to change my career soon and become a teacher. Before I get there, I'm getting some extra experience by tutoring. I love helping others learn, and I've had the opportunity to work with family members on math, science, and Spanish. I have a passion for English and other languages. I've studied Japanese, Italian, and Spanish. In addition I've always enjoyed studying math. I love learning, and as a tutor, I want to help others develop a love of learning as well. I look forward to working with you.

BillieFor more than a decade now, I've had the privilege of teaching students from all walks of life. I received my degree in middle childhood education from Capital University, where I specialized in math and language arts. Shortly after completing my bachelor's program, I enrolled at the University of Phoenix and earned a master's degree in curriculum and instruction. My experience as an educator has given me the opportunity to teach in a variety of ways outside of the traditional classroom, including teaching online. While I've taught a number of different subjects, math and reading are my favorites to teach. Not only are these subjects my area of expertise, I also find them incredibly interesting. I believe that the best way to reach a student and help them achieve success is through a student-centered teaching style. Not everyone learns in the same way, so it's important to come up with creative activities that appeal to all types of students - not just the ones who enjoy listening to classroom lectures. As a teacher, I believe it's also important to help students build their self-esteem and learn how to think critically, so that they're more likely to succeed outside of the classroom. When I'm not teaching, I like to spend my time reading, doing yoga, and being outdoors.
