PaulI have 20 years of experience as a tutor, and I find the pursuit incredibly gratifying. I enjoy working with students individually and helping them make progress towards their eventual success. I started out teaching test prep courses for the SAT and ACT, but eventually began tutoring on my own. I've continued to tutor through my bachelor's degree in journalism and my master's degree in English at Wayne State University. I'm excited to help students with English, literature, grammar, writing, reading, ESL, study skills, and test preparation for the ACT, SAT, GRE, and others. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, sports, philosophy, business, spending time with family, keeping up with current affairs, and playing the guitar.

MichelleI have a biomedical engineering doctorate that I earned at the University of Michigan. I also attended the University of Michigan for my bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering. As a tutor, I enjoy helping students reach their goals. I assess where students are currently and identify areas where they need help. I then guide students through practice problems, explaining concepts along the way, until students are able to solve problems on their own. I currently run a nonprofit that I started in developing sustainable agriculture practices at low costs. I tutor computer science, Java, C++, Perl, data structures, data mining, bioinformatics, biology, chemistry, pre-calculus, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, test preparation, and other related disciplines. In my spare time, I like to fence and sew. I also enjoy science fiction.

JohnI went to Princeton to earn my bachelor's degree in politics, and then had opportunities to travel and work in Washington, DC and Alaska. I then went on to George Mason University to earn my master's degree in public policy. As a graduate student, I worked for non-profit organization on environmental policy, energy policy, and climate change. I then went to a South America top environmental organization with grant writing. As a tutor, I love helping students improve their understanding. My specialties are writing, English, reading comprehension, test preparation, social studies, government and politics, and history. As for test preparation, I can assist students in exams like the GRE, PSAT, SAT, and ACT. I love helping students improve the structure and flow of essays, and I know how important a solid college admissions essay and cover letter can be for opening opportunities to students.
