RachelMy theory on learning and teaching is that you must have a strong set of study skills along with a foundation of key concepts. I strive to make my students understand how to take tests, help them see the relationship between school and learning, and I also believe in helping them understand assignments. I believe in using non-traditional methods in the classroom, including YouTube videos, advertisements, and online articles. I tutor online and one-on-one. I personally love studying and learning and want to pass that love onto others. As far as my education, I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and Anthropology. I graduated with honors. Additionally, I have my certification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. During my college career, I tutored pupils in a variety of subjects. I also worked for the Tutoring and Academic Success Center at Cleveland State University. I have also tutored high school foreign exchange students in many subjects, such as grammar and English. I believe my academic and life experiences will give my pupils a unique learning experience. When I am not tutoring, you can find me playing video games and traveling. I also love studying foreign languages.

MerryI have 25 years of experience as a tutor, I believe any child can find success as a math learner. I love helping students work through problems, getting them along the path and letting them figure out the answers on their own. It's very rewarding to see the confidence students gain through this process. My goal as a tutor is to give students the skills they need to become self-sufficient learners. I bring respect, positivity, and compassion to every session. I tutor algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, elementary and middle school math, and other math topics, including test preparation. I can also help students with chemistry, biology, and other science courses. In my free time, I like to read, bake, and hike.

KrishnaI've had many jobs during my career. I've been a lawyer, campaign staffer, and even a waitress. Looking back, my favorite aspect about each of my jobs was the opportunity to teach and train my peers. Realizing this was both an exhilarating and humbling experience, but I know I love to teach and I know that this is my responsibility. When I work with students, I bring my experience and academic background to help students learn the topic at hand, but also to learn how to learn. I also like to make use of multimedia, because I believe this approach help students learn as well. It's my goal to help students realize their academic potential.
