ParsaI'm originally from Iran, and I moved to the US nine years ago to study environmental engineering. I've always been interested in engineering and science, and I was inspired by an excellent instructor I had in high school to learn more about chemistry. While studying chemistry, I became more aware of the environment, and I was inspired to pursue environmental engineering. Throughout my education, I've developed determination and patience, and I can use these with students to help them learn at their own pace and to never give up. I'm interested in tutoring chemistry, physics, civil engineering, environmental engineering, test preparation, and more. When I have free time, I like to listen to music, walk the dog, and follow the news.

GRE Subject Tests
MargaretI graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in philosophy and political science. My college education helped me understand that the key to success isn't just memorizing material and preparing for tests, but also learning how to apply your knowledge in a way that helps you in a personal and professional capacity. My goal as a teacher is to do more than help students prepare for tests. I also want to help them develop important life skills so that they're able to go out in the world and achieve new heights. For me, a good education is one that teaches students how to research and think critically, so that they're able to come up with their own solutions to the problems life throws at them. Two of my favorite subjects to tutor are ACT and GRE prep courses. I understand that passing standardized tests is a skill in itself, which is why I like to help students study and mentally prepare for test day. I also have experience teaching middle school math, writing, English, and psychology. When I'm not teaching and learning, I like to spend my time playing fantasy video games and watching British comedies.

DorisI am a big believer in the ability for education to transform people's lives. One of the best ways to do this is through learning a foreign language. Learning languages enables people to learn new skills, but it also allows people to see the world in a new way. I have a Master's Degree in organizational leadership from Vanderbilt University. I have experience teaching undergraduate students, conducting academic and leadership research, evaluating and managing projects, and strategic planning. I also have experience working with adults and youth in both the United States and Peru. I have experience working in both the public and private sector in Peru. I worked for the Ministry of Education and for private universities and research centers. Additionally, I have worked to lead educational programs, helping people develop education skills, helping parents learn skills to improve their children's performance in school, writing curricula, and conducting workshops to improve social skills in the workplace. In terms of tutoring, I can teach students in conversational Spanish, languages, and Spanish. I also have extensive experience working with non-profit organizations. Outside of education, I enjoy going to the theater, hiking, and dancing.
