VanessaI love teaching for as long as I can remember. I've always helped out my fellow students to learn new things, and now I help students develop critical thinking skills so that they can become self-sufficient learners. My education is focused on the education field and the disciplines of history and English. I studied history and English at Hiram College and then went to the University of Michigan to earn my master's degree in history. I earned another master's degree in English at Cleveland State University. Additionally, I've teaching certification for history and English for middle school and high school level students. My teaching experience includes work as an adjunct professor, and I've also been a substitute teacher. My tutoring experience includes working with students from diverse backgrounds at the K - 12 level, and I've worked with special needs students, ESL students, and adult learners. Tutoring is my favorite form of education. The one-on-one approach allows me to individualize my lessons to help students learn quickly and effectively. I enjoy working directly with individual students to help them strengthen their understanding of the topic and fill in the gaps in their learning. In my free time, I like to ride my bicycle, study archaeology, write, and read.

SylvieI'm a French language tutor who enjoys providing unique sessions that are fun and interesting. When I tutor students in French, I also provide stories, history, and information about the French culture. My French teaching is an adventure for my students where they get to learn how the language got to where it is today. I want them to love learning French as much is I enjoy the language.

KristaAs a tutor and teacher, I have found that no matter what grade level a student is at, they all have something special to offer and they can all learn. I also understand and have learned during my experiences that every student learns differently. I have been really successful helping students find the teaching method that they learn the most from. Before you can expect a pupil to learn, you must first nail down the most effective method for that person. I have always wanted to be a teacher, for as long as I can remember. This yearning led me to go on and earn my degree in Early Childhood Education. I also have a reading endorsement. Once I finished those, I went on to obtain my Master's in Clinical Mental Health. So now not only am I a licensed teacher, I am a licensed therapist too. In the past, I taught students in preschool, kindergarten, and third grade specifically. However, now I work with children in grades kindergarten through fifth. When I am not teaching, you can find me enjoying just about anything outdoors and camping. I look forward to helping your child succeed in math, reading, English, and more.
