MuhammadI have a unique background that makes me a well-rounded tutor. I have been living in Saudi Arabia for ten years, but recently just moved back to the United States, Syracuse to be exact. I moved over to Saudi my senior year of high school because I wanted to experience a culture that was different than mine. I stayed to continue my higher education and graduated from medical school there. I am now currently working on my licensing exams in the United States. I love the unique characteristics of both cultures and would love to share the differences with my students. My educational background has given me extensive knowledge in biological sciences. I also have experience teaching English as a second language and would love to help students with that as well. I believe my experience living overseas and getting familiar with such a rich culture has given me a better understanding of the English language and what people need to learn it. I would love to help you if you are struggling with your high school science courses or struggling to grasp the complexities of the English language. I look forward to meeting new people and expanding their knowledge base.

MatthewAs a tutor, I have many different teaching approaches in my arsenal. I work with a student to identify which one of these works best for the student and for their learning needs. Every student learns differently, so it's important to identify the learning style of the student, and to keep in mind that their preferred learning style may change along the way. I went to Harvard University, graduating with an English degree. I then went on to Syracuse University for my master's in creative writing. Between my undergraduate and graduate careers, I tutored college-level, high school level, and hospital bound students, amassing over 300 hours of experience. I've also taught in the classroom. At Syracuse University, I taught an introductory course on academic writing and critical research and an inquiry course. I currently teach at two Rochester, New York colleges in the English department. In my free time, I like to watch sports, read, and run.

JohnI know from experience that seeking help with learning is one of the ways I excelled in the classroom. I gained my confidence in academics and other areas of life through being tutored. I am dedicated to teaching and I love working with people who want to improve their academic skills. I have degrees in English and Political Science. I am great at teaching writing, history, English, religious studies, and political science. My tutoring style includes getting to know what my pupil is struggling with and finding a teaching method that works for them. I avoid giving the straight answer, instead, I teach the process of how to get to the answer. In tutoring writing, I never try to change what the student wrote, I suggest ways to enhance the way you convey your ideas. I enjoy writing so much because I love to hear my pupils personalities shine through as I read their papers or essays. I look forward to meeting new students and helping them meet and exceed their academic goals. When I am not teaching, you can find me watching and playing sports, reading, and listening to music.
