ThomasI attended the University of Pittsburgh to earn bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. I then went on to Carnegie Mellon University for my MBA. I'm now working professionally as an engineer, where I get to do things like product development and engineering and operations management. My teaching experience includes 12 years at the University of Phoenix as an adjunct teacher, where I got to teach quality systems, statistical process control, project management, statistics, and math. I can tutor students in algebra, calculus, differential equations, geometry, pre-calculus, statistics, trigonometry, discrete math, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, finance, management, physics, business, and other similar subjects. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar and classic cars.

SafiyaI have graduated from both the Bayero University Kano located in Nigeria, and the Shippensburg University located in Pennsylvania. I have a bachelor's degree in Zoology, with a focus on herpetology, and I have my master's of science in Biology. I also have an affinity for the French language, partly because the country I am from, Nigeria, is surrounded by countries whose residents speak French, but also for the opportunities knowing French gives me to network. In Nigeria, there are centers where people can learn French, and I not only learned French at one of these, but also tutored other students in French while there. I was able to work with learners from all different age levels, which gave me a good base for learning flexibility in my tutoring style. In college in Pennsylvania, I continued tutoring, this time in biology, focusing on ecology and conservation, and French. It was enjoyable for me because it gave me the chance to learn and practice a variety of tutoring and time management techniques. I was also able to learn to work effectively with students of varying learning styles, at the pace they needed to work at. I obtained experience working with students both individually, and in small group settings.

KatieI'm a tutor based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I graduated recently from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, receiving my degree in chemistry concentrating on biochemistry. In addition to tutoring, I'm working at Pittsburgh Plate Glass (PPG) as an analytical chemist in the chromatography department. This work has given me a great opportunity to continue to refine my knowledge through the real world application of it. In school I began tutoring for the chemistry department in my junior year. I began teaching other students subjects like General Chemistry, Principles of Chemistry I and II, Organic Chemistry I and II, Biochemistry, and Analytical Chemistry. I used my time to tutor other students, to learn teaching methods from the other tutors, and to refine my method of interaction with my pupils. My goals as a tutor go beyond simply helping my students pass a test. Instead, I want to ensure that the students I work with understand the material on a deep enough level to help them in future classes and beyond. Outside of the classroom, I really enjoy reading books like Harry Potter, winter sports, playing computer games, and trying out new and exciting foods. I hope I can help you reach your science goals.
