YoonsukI went to Duke University to earn my bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering and economics. I began tutoring as a high school student, where I volunteered with ESL students. I performed well in school, and I was often asked by members of the community to assist their children, which I did whenever possible. I began tutoring professionally as a college student, initially working as a TA at summer program at Duke. After I graduated, I spent two years working for a test preparation company, where I taught courses in preparation for the ACT, SAT, and SAT subject tests. I've also help students as a private tutor with physics, statistics, and math. I can tutor algebra, calculus, physics, differential equations, elementary and middle school math, pre-calculus, trigonometry, English, writing, and test preparation. In my free time, I enjoy programming and playing the guitar.

LillianI have over a decade of professional tutoring experience. I shoot for excellence in everything I do, including tutoring my students. I'm currently pursuing a doctoral degree in business. As an educator, I will do everything I can to help my students learn successfully in an environment that is stimulating and fun. I currently teach at the high school level, and it's very gratifying. I enjoy seeing the progress my students make year-over-year. It doesn't happen right away, but I enjoy connecting with my students and building relationships with them. This allows me to know the student interests, needs, and goals, as well as their learning style. I can tutor algebra, geometry, elementary math, statistics, middle school math, study skills and organization, pre-calculus, and others. When I have free time, I enjoy exercising, watching sports, old movies, and reading.

DavidI was born and raised on the island nation of Mauritius, in the Indian Ocean, and recently moved to the U.S. alongside my wife. Back home, I earned a college degree in the field of Chemical Engineering and spent most of my career as an engineer in a variety of industries. While I do not have any formal teaching experience, I have helped tutor high school students in the subject of Physics and Math. As such, these two fields are the ones I am most comfortable teaching in, but I am open to teaching others subjects, such as French. Mathematics covers a wide range of topics, but I am confident tutoring in everything from Basic Arithmetic to Algebra to Multivariable Calculus. My teaching strategy is based on interactivity and visualization. I find that student often struggle with abstract theories, and the key to unlocking someone's learning potential often comes with being able to apply it to a real-world scenario. The strategy of visualization seems to be a very effective one particularly in the theoretical field of Physics and higher levels of Mathematics. In my free time, one of my favorite things to do is attend concerts.
