JohnI view education as an art, not a science. My study sessions place a strong focus on creating a positive learning environment that inspires all involved to grow in ways that they may never have expected. It starts with hard work for both parties. As a tutor, it is my responsibility to design a curriculum that helps a student reach their objectives. However, the student is also responsible for completing any assignments from last session. They must be prepared to challenge me as I challenge them to ensure mutual growth. I also encourage students to challenge each other in order to foster an environment where risks and mistakes are accepted as a natural part of the learning process. This helps a student improve their self-esteem and ultimately their academic performance. I try to model risk-taking behavior myself, so I lead by example in this regard. I am a certified Special Education instructor, so I can help nearly any student with a variety of academic subjects. Please contact me for further information!

FrankI have been teaching since 1992, and it has been my pleasure to cultivate the minds of young people. I have been and still am committed to shrinking the achievement gap to a minuscule number. I have worked with students in urban public schools with students who were underachievers. I have a bachelor's degree in African-American studies from Syracuse University and a master's degree in business from Ohio Christian University. I enjoy tutoring math for students in grades four through six the most. I have a strong sense of what it takes to help young people excel. I believe that expectation is the key to great education. I am happy to help you succeed.

AlexanderI began tutoring math during my time at Gordon State College. I earned my associate's degree in engineering there. I love being able to make a difference in the lives of my students. I grow and nurture relationships with each student week by week, to make sure they are getting what they need out of the session. It is always a great feeling to know that you have played a part in making a positive impact on a person's life. I can tutor in and around the Eastman area in subjects such as algebra, math, pre-algebra, and others. I like swimming, playing billiards, listening to music, biking, and playing golf.
