CarlosI'm enrolled at Lipscomb University. I'm a senior majoring in international relations and political science. I have a minor in criminal justice and philosophy as well. I'm a native Spanish speaker who has a solid grasp of teaching. I volunteered at an elementary school in Columbia as an English teacher for several months. The experience opened my mind and I wanted to continue providing educational opportunities to those that need it. As a tutor, I strive to involve each student in the subject's material, whether I am teaching history, Spanish, or politics. I work hard to ensure that each tutoring session engages the student in a way that allows them to better comprehend the material. When tutoring Spanish or English, I believe dialogue is invaluable to mastering it. I talk to each student constantly as I believe it's important to the process. Each session is built around the student's individual needs, goals, and skills. My goal is to ensure that my students can achieve their potential by building their self-confidence. No matter what the student's fluency level in the language is, I can provide the support needed to improve their abilities. In my free time, I love playing soccer, going for walks, and reading.
