SeanMy philosophy on education is that in order to teach, a person must continually learn. Learning begins with an admission that you do not know something. It seems obvious, but it is a basic tenet of learning that most people don't think about. I earned my bachelor's degree at Baldwin Wallace College in Economics and Philosophy, and went on to do my graduate work at Cleveland State University, where I obtained my master's degree in Philosophy. Throughout my years of education, I continually worked as a tutor, in a variety of subjects. I had experiences tutoring in deductive logic, helping learners prepare for their GED test, and having found these so enjoyable, I began my career as a professional tutor. I now have almost a decade of experience in successfully tutoring. The majority of my tutoring experience has been in writing and math, along with helping students prepare for standardized tests, such as the SAT, ACT, PSAT, and others. However, I am capable of tutoring a wide variety of subjects, including reading and writing, various AP courses, science courses, and writing college essays, among others. In my free time, I enjoy online gaming, traveling, and playing ultimate Frisbee.

MattI studied for and earned my bachelor's degree in accounting from Robert Morris University. I went on to earn my MBA from Cleveland State University. I have a real affinity for business, and enjoy learning just how it works. It is generally through accounting that I comprehend how businesses perform. I enjoyed my business education, and have a desire to share that knowledge that I worked hard to learn. I like to tutor in business subjects, leading students through the solutions to the challenges that they are facing, until they have overcome their difficulties and achieved success. I am also available to tutor in other subjects, including history, math, religion, social studies, and general study skills, among others. I can tutor students in AP and IB classes, as well. I have done public accounting work and personal consulting work, so I have a history of real world examples to offer to students who wonder how their education will affect them in the "real world." Outside of business and tutoring, I enjoy sports, reading, and history.

MarcusI attended Duke University for my bachelor's degree in cultural anthropology. I began tutoring as an undergraduate, and I'm enjoying helping people learn new things and reach their goals. At Duke, I was a math tutor, and I've continued to tutor after finishing my degree. As someone who just completed the MCAT, I'm looking forward to helping students develop test taking strategies and learn how to efficiently study topics for standardized tests. I have already tutored students in the SSAT, and I'm excited to help students prepare for the SAT, ACT, MCAT, and others. I find tutoring fulfilling because I take on the challenge of identifying how a student learns best, and I teach to it. Every student is different, and it's rewarding to figure out how to present information to a student and then to see them understand things and make progress. I can tutor students in organic chemistry, biology, physics, inorganic chemistry, algebra, general K - 12 math topics, and more. I'm comfortable working with students of any age and level of ability. My overall goal is to help them develop motivation and confidence so they can reach for and achieve their goals.
