LarryAs a tutor, I enjoy breaking down concepts and presenting them in ways that are easier to understand and are related to the student's interests. I've three years of experience in teaching, developing lesson plans and instructing courses at the Soldier Support Institute. I can help students learn history, accounting, economics, government, algebra, GED preparation, and others. I enjoy golfing in my free time.

CherylAfter completing my bachelor's degree, I enrolled in a graduate program at the University of South Florida and earned my master's degree before beginning my career as a public school teacher. As a teacher, I had the privilege of using my American Sign Language skills to teach deaf high school students. While challenging at times, I found this to be an extremely rewarding experience where I was able to have a positive impact on my students' lives by helping them overcome their challenges and reach their full potential. Along with being a high school teacher, I've also worked with elementary and middle school students as well. More than anything, I enjoy working alongside students and helping them overcome various challenges so that they can reach success inside the classroom and out in the professional world. A large portion of my teaching experience involves math at various levels, but I've also helped students get a better understanding of science, social studies, and English. For me, the best part of being a teacher is being able to see your student have that "aha"Â moment where they finally understand a challenging concept. Along with teaching, I also enjoy photography, gardening, and spending times with my friends and family.

AmyI love everything about writing; the process, the language used, and also sharing my love of writing with others. I went to Florida State University to earn my bachelor's degree in history, and now I'm at Eastern Oregon University studying creative writing, and specifically creative nonfiction. I also have graduate level certificates for publishing and editing from Florida State. I'm very adept at research-based writing and academic editing, and I would enjoy helping students improve their writing skills for essays and academic papers. I also have experience tutoring in an online capacity. I utilize the Socratic method to help students through the writing process, and I incorporate the student's interests by relating them to the material. Together, these tactics help keep students engaged. In addition to writing, literature, and other English topics, I can also help students with history. My other interests include reading, psychology, music, and films.
