ReedI earned my bachelor's degree in philosophy, neuroscience, and psychology at Washington University. After graduating, I went to Chile and taught English. I began tutoring as a high school student, volunteering for the public school system. I continued tutoring as a college student, where I had the opportunity to help students at the elementary school level. I believe that every student is different, and it is up to me to customize my approach for each student to help them realize their full academic potential. I can tutor students in algebra, pre-algebra, pre-calculus, trigonometry, English, ESL, and test preparation for the ACT, PSAT, SAT, and others. When I have free time, I like to ski, camp, play basketball, hike, and listen to music.

MelindaI attended Ohio State University to earn my bachelor's degree in 2014 in human nutrition. My tutoring experience includes tutoring middle school students as part of an after school program and assisting high school students as a member of AmeriCorps. Altogether I have four years of tutoring experience with students ranging from first grade through high school seniors. My tutoring specialties are nutrition, critical reading, and middle school math topics. I like helping students work through challenging problems and helping them develop problem-solving skills. I'm also patient and attentive, which I believe are important qualities in a tutor. I can help students learn algebra, geometry, chemistry, elementary and middle school math, literature, English grammar, study skills, nutrition, and test preparation. In my free time, I like to watch TV, hike, watch movies, practice ceramics, and cheer for the Cincinnati Reds.

JohnI went to Northern Kentucky University for my master's degree in education, and I'm certified as a math teacher at the middle school level. I currently work as a math tutor and paraprofessional, helping 10th grade students learn math topics. I love teaching math, and I'm comfortable working with students at all levels of ability. I show students math concepts in different ways until we find what works best for them. I also can draw on my experiences to relate math concepts to real world applications. In my free time, I enjoy sports, and I was once an athletic director and coach. I also like to take walks, ride my bike, and learn for fun.
