KathrynI'm a teacher based in the state of Utah, where I graduated with a masters in English from Weber State University and a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Utah. I'm currently focusing on teaching English, creative writing, history, and yoga. I work at a local middle school in downtown Salt Lake City, here in Utah. I'm a teacher who isn't content with simply giving students the right answer and moving forward with the lesson. Instead, I think of teaching as an interaction between myself and my students. I think the most powerful form of learning comes when students discover the material for themselves -- a process I encourage through strategically asking my students higher-level questions. I set a high standard for my students to reach, but give them the support that they need to reach those milestones and push themselves to higher heights. I really love the process of teaching, which is why I've taught, mentored, and tutored students for over ten years. I feel privileged to get to work with students and help them grow inside the classroom and out of it. My hope for each student is that I can help them discover their own voice. I would be honored to do the same with you!

JamminI have two years of experience in math tutoring, and I've worked as a private tutor and on college campuses. I started tutoring as a student at Salt Lake Community College in the math lab, and when I transferred to the University of Utah, I became a supplemental instructor for a math course. I earned my bachelor's degree in math at the University of Utah, along with a psychology minor. I'm comfortable working with students of any age and ability level, but I most experienced in working with college students. I can tutor students in algebra, calculus, differential equations, geometry, pre-calculus, trigonometry, multivariable calculus, psychology, beginning math topics, discrete math, linear algebra, finite math, and test preparation for the SAT, ACT, AP exams, and more. When I have free time, I enjoy playing video games.

AustinMy number one goal as a tutor is to create confident and independent students. There's nothing more rewarding than when the light bulb goes off for student who's been struggling in a topic. When I tutor students, I like to set goals from the beginning so that we can work together to achieve a student's needs. I think anyone can learn the subjects I teach, such as calculus, computer science, biology, and others with the assistance of a skilled tutor.
