ToniI earned my undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of West Georgia. I love tutoring students because I see it as an opportunity to build their confidence and show them they are smarter than they believe. As a student, I found I always did better when I would work on topics independently. The process of figuring out solutions made it easier for me to understand and retain. While this made me a difficult student to teach, the experiences helped me become a great tutor because I have the ability to figure out new ways to teach until the student resonates with the lesson and understands the material. I offer tutoring for a wide variety of subjects, including algebra 1 & 2, calculus 1, elementary math, geometry, middle school math, pre-calculus, essay editing, writing, English grammar and syntax, computer programming, computer science, drawing, Java, arithmetic, nutrition, algebra 3/4, painting, 2D design, photography, technical writing, drawing, web design, pre-algebra, web development, discrete math, English, technology and computer science, and general study skills. I also teach similar AP subjects. I love finding new ways to help my students develop a passion for math. When they are able to move beyond the textbook and into a real world experience, the subject comes alive and their interest and success soars.

MarkI attended California Lutheran University for my bachelor's degree in math. I enjoy showing students that math can be fun, and that it's not as hard as they think it is. I show students how math is used in everyday life, and I help them relate abstract concepts to applications in the real world. I also focus on explain topics in clear ways to make the learning process easier. I ask students lots of questions during our sessions to determine where there make progress and where they still need help. I also use games and humor to keep students interested in having fun. I love math, and I love helping others improve their understanding of it. When I have some spare time, I enjoy playing board games, tabletop games, and video games.
