I have also spent time as a paralegal and as an instructor in criminal justice. Most recently I have been working as a juvenile probation officer. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and from the New College of California School of Law with a PhD. JacobI've always had a knack for mathematics. I was in accelerated math classes in elementary school, a fact that soon had all of my friends asking me for help. This continued through high school, when I was attending math courses at the nearby University of Colorado with "peers" 3-5 years older than I was. I tutored my entire dormitory in Calculus as a college student while studying for a BA in Mathematics. I have been helping people with math since I can remember, and would be honored to share my experience with you! I studied Language and Linguistics as electives in college because I realized that math is best described as its own language. I also earned an ESL certification in Thailand to expand my horizons. I'm capable of helping with a variety of subjects, including Trigonometry, Pre-Algebra, Middle School Math, Algebra I and II, and Calculus. I don't believe in genius or its opposite, as any student can learn anything they put their mind to with the right support. I look forward to working with you!
