VincenzoI have earned a bachelor's degree in integrated science at the University of Michigan - Dearborn. My minor was math. I then went on to teach middle school science and math at the fifth grade level. I have five years of experience as a tutor, and I've been able to work with students across all ages and levels of ability. I truly love education, and I think every student can find success. I like to get to know my students so I can find about their strengths, opportunities, goals, and interests. One thing I excel at as a tutor is the ability to explain things to students in a way that makes sense to them. Since every student is unique, it's my job to find the approach that will be most effective for their learning style. I can tutor students in math, English, reading, science, study skills, and test preparation for school admissions exams and others. In my free time, I enjoy movies, traveling, games, and spending time with family and friends.

LeslieI attended Hampton University to earn my bachelor's degree in physics. I also earned a math minor. I then went on to the University of Michigan, where I recently finished my doctoral degree in applied physics. I love to teach, and I enjoy helping students come to an understanding of science and math topics. I believe in helping students build a full understanding of the subject as opposed to rote memorization, and in impressing on them the importance of taking charge of their own education by becoming self-sufficient learners. I can tutor subjects such as algebra, physics, calculus, differential equations, geometry, middle school math, pre-calculus, trigonometry, physics, multivariable calculus, physical science, pre-algebra, and test preparation. In my free time, I enjoy dancing West African and salsa styles, cooking, attending concerts, reading, and writing.

CandiceI have been passionate about teaching since I was in second grade. One of my teachers identified something within me that no other teacher seemed to see. Their belief in me sparked a love of education and learning that caused me to want to pursue a career in that area. I am currently teaching Pre-K and I also have experience teaching students at the elementary school level. Additionally, I have experience tutoring students in various academic areas, teaching English, and working with at-risk students on an individual level. I am comfortable tutoring students in college English, math, English, ESL, writing, reading, and phonics. I am also available to help students prepare for the ISEE-lower level and the SSAT. I enjoy tutoring because it enables me to work with students that might be struggling. Working with them on an individual level allows me to give them the extra motivation they might need to reach their academic goals. Working with students individually also enables me to figure out the learning style that works best for them and adapt the way I teach to meet their needs. Outside of school, I enjoy working out, spending time with my family and friends, reading, and crafting.
