RebeccaI am a writer, avid reader and huge lover of language. Latin and Greek are two languages that I believe should always be studied. These two languages shaped the words we use and created our relationship with language. Learning Latin and Greek has made me understand the true meaning of every word I read, a skill I am passionate about sharing with my students. Additionally, I love poetry and creative and academic writing and enjoy teaching them as well. I turned my love for these things into a career. I have my Bachelor's in Classics from Sarah Lawrence College. I have also attended great colleges for vastly different studies, such as Steiner School for philosophy. I would love to help you or your student with languages, writing, and all other areas related to English. My methods of tutoring include using a wide variety of tools and techniques because each person is unique. My passionate nature tends to transfer into my teaching and my students become passionate about the subjects that they once struggled to learn. Outside of work, I enjoy dancing and traveling. I am looking forward to sharing my love of writing, reading, and languages with you or your child.

PeterI'm attending UC - Boulder for my degree in mathematics. I'm emphasizing computational mathematics, and I'm earning computer science and economics minors. My specialties as a tutor are test preparation and math. My favorites include SAT preparation, ACT preparation, calculus, pre-calculus, trigonometry, geometry, and algebra. I love the subjects I tutor, and I'm enthusiastic about these topics in my sessions. I help students develop a clear understanding of these topics so that they can apply their knowledge and critical thinking skills now and in the future. This help students develop confidence in their abilities. When I have some free time, I like to read, play video games, and participate in sports, particularly rowing.

LukeI attended SUNY Binghamton, earning degrees in both biology and environmental science. I've taken courses in science teaching, and I've taught in the classroom and have tutored students individually and in small groups. I believe learning is valuable, and education opens new opportunities for us. I enjoy helping students learn new things, and I love helping student reach the moment where everything makes sense and students realize that they get it. I enjoy teaching life-sciences the most: biology, chemistry, and some environmental sciences. I've also had quite a bit of experience with standardized test taking, and I can help students develop techniques for exam day and for preparation. I also really like to teach students algebra. I'm currently attending grad school and studying psychology. I'm taking what I've learned so far in studying the way people learn and applying it is a tutor. These methods work more effectively and efficiently, and I want to share those with my students.
