ZachMathematics has always been a strong passion of mine. I have a degree in Pure Mathematics and right now I am working on finishing my master's in Applied Statistics from Indianapolis University-Purdue University Indianapolis. During the last three years, I have been tutoring my peers and friends and have made business by word of mouth. I am now excited to expand my tutoring horizons. In addition to my studies, I have also been a substitute teacher, which has given me plenty of experience teaching a wide variety of students. I can help with just about any math course, including algebra, calculus, and geometry. One thing that I always do during my tutoring sessions is encourage my students to think for themselves. One of the most important parts of mathematics is being able to think critically, so I focus a lot of time on teaching those skills. I really focus on asking numerous questions and giving plenty of time for the child to answer before jumping in to help. Making each session as fun as possible is also part of my teaching method. I believe people learn best when they are also enjoying themselves. I am looking forward to helping math students get on track and enjoy my favorite subject.

SamuelI have a Spanish Master of Arts for Teachers degree from Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis, and I am currently filing for my Certified Public Accounting license. JohnI enjoy working with students to develop mastery in a wide variety of subjects, including algebra 1 & 2, English, geometry, middle school math, trigonometry, French 1-4, AP French language and culture, AP United States history, physics, social studies, Latin, geography, public speaking, world religions, reading, comparative literature, writing, conversational French, phonics, English grammar and syntax, and European history. I also work with students to help them prepare for standardized exams such as the SAT, ACT, MAP, and PSAT. I enjoy working with students of all ages and ability levels and have successfully tutored gifted, special education, and ESL/ELL students. I believe one of the greatest evils in the world stems from ignorance and that students deserve as much assistance and guidance as society is able to provide in order to promote the acquisition of knowledge. The role of a tutor is not just to help a student gain a fuller understanding of subject area content, it is also to help students thrive in any learning situation in which they find themselves. To that end, I also take the time to work with students on their general study skills and organizational skills when those are holding them back from reaching their academic potential.
