SandyI attended John Carroll University where I received my Master of Science in Physics, and I later completed a PhD in Astronomy from Ohio State University. I have extensive experience with both teaching and tutoring, and I have worked with students in a variety of age groups from middle school to adult scholars. I've helped many students firm up their grasp of basic Math and Science concepts in order for them to have the necessary foundation for studying the more complex courses. I specialize in tutoring Math, Middle School Math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, College Algebra, Science, Physical Science, Physics, and Astronomy, and I look forward to working with you or your child as you continue on your educational journey. When I'm not working, I enjoy renovating my home, gardening, and working in the yard. I like any type of problem-solving puzzles, including jigsaw and crossword. I'm a Neil deGrasse Tyson fan who loves films and TV related to astronomy and our universe, like Star Trek: The Next Generation, Startalk, or Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey.

RichardMy bachelor's degree is in actuarial science at Ohio State University. I also earned statistics and economics minors. I served on the Columbus literacy Council as an undergraduate student, where I had the opportunity to assist adults with literacy. My favorite subject to tutor is math because of how important and powerful it is. Math is used everywhere, and it can be leveraged in nearly any discipline. I like to show students how to take complex problems and break them down into simple steps. I'm excited to help students achieve more than they thought was possible. In addition to math, I can tutor students in economics, business, ACT preparation, and others. In my free time, I like to read and play video games.

BenjaminI'm a tutor and enjoy helping students learn Mandarin Chinese and English as a second language. I've seven years of experience as a teacher and tutor both stateside and in China. I'm currently working on my master's degree in Chinese language teaching, and I'm looking forward to becoming a professor in the future. I believe tutoring is the best way for students to learn, because tutors can focus on the individual needs and learning style of the student in a comfortable environment without judgment. I help students develop language skills through conversation, games, activities, reading, and more. I attended Oberlin College to earn my bachelor's degree in Classics. After graduation I spent two years teaching ESL in China. I've also taken several Chinese immersion courses, been the assistant director of the Chinese Language Academy, and been a translator and Chinese language consultant for Yale University. I'm looking forward to helping students improve their understanding of language. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, swimming, and biking.
