MichaelI have a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Southwestern University and a master's degree in philosophy from Stony Brook University as well. I currently work as a seventh-grade math teacher at a local charter school. My ultimate goal is to earn a Ph.D. and become a professor at the university level. I tutor and teach because I find the process of it to be very powerful. I am looking forward to working with students one-on-one and in groups. I have worked with students as young as seven and those with learning challenges. I can help with many courses including math, business, writing, study skills, test prep, social sciences, and more.

JuliaI have extensive experience tutoring high school students dating back to when I helped my peers in high school. My teaching style places a strong emphasis on collaborative work, as working with others is often more productive than trying to do it alone. While I make sure that my students can perform to the best of their ability on exams and homework assignments, I also make sure that they have the underlying concepts down so that they can adapt what the have learned to their future needs. I recently earned a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology, so I'm most qualified to teach subjects such as Chemistry, Biology, and Environmental Science. However, I took a diverse course load that allows me to help with other subjects such as Algebra, Math, Computer Science, and Psychology as well. I look forward to helping students experience both academic and personal success!
