RobertI am an undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida with a major in English on the pre-med track. This major has consisted heavily of math, science, and English. Because of these concentrations in several subjects, I am available to tutor biology, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, critical analysis and reasoning skills, and pre-calculus, among other subjects. I can also help students study for the MCAT. In addition to tutoring middle and high school students for the last year in math and biology, I was also tutored as a younger student, so I have experience on both sides of the tutor/student relationship. Being an immigrant from Poland, I believe that gives me greater empathy into the struggles students face. My tutor was an essential part of my educational journey; during tutoring is when I learned to love learning. I want to serve in that role for my own students. Seeing students who do not particularly enjoy math helped me to understand that I needed to appeal to their interests to make the material relevant and accessible to them. I break concepts down into understandable pieces for my students, and I teach enthusiastically so I can engage them. I am comfortable with children and gain satisfaction when my student reach their goals.

RachaelI believe the tutoring is a two-way street where students learn from the tutor and tutors learn how to help students learn by seeing different perspectives of the material, which often helps tutors gain a better understanding of the subjects they teach as well. I focus on providing a learning environment that is relaxed and building trust with students so that they are comfortable to ask questions and make mistakes. Making mistakes is part of the learning process, and leads to quicker clarification and success. I enjoy tutoring students in English, music theory, ESL, and German. In my free time, I like to learn languages, hike, read, and travel.

MonicaI am a mathematics tutor. I work hard to inspire my students while equipping them with the skills needed to achieve academic and professional success. I strive to create an atmosphere that helps students develop confidence in their math skills. Through personalized education, I can pinpoint my student's weaknesses and strengths to build upon their knowledge while filling in any educational gaps they may have. I believe that education is invaluable and tutors play an important role in the process. Whether I am working with elementary schoolers or college-level students, I can tutor them in any math subject they need. I enjoy using my knowledge to demonstrate concepts of all levels to my students and help them work through challenges in their learning. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy being with my family. I have a toddler who enjoys our time together. I am a teacher's assistant volunteer, usually helping at math workshops and classes. I love going to live concerts and mandala coloring pages. I also travel with my family to learn about new cultures. I am working to become a certified math teacher for middle school-level learning. For the next three years, I will be tutoring full-time to support students in their academic goals.
